IPR statistics released by the CNIPA for January to June 2022 show gains in the number of valid invention patents and registered trademarks.

From January to June 2022, China has granted 393,000 invention patents, 1,473,000 utility model patents and 383,000 design patents.2022年1-6月，中国发明专利授权39.3万件，实用新型专利授权147.3万件，外观设计专利授权38.3万件。
A total of 33,000 PCT international patent applications were accepted and 353 international design applications were filed through the Hague Agreement.受理PCT国际专利申请3.3万件，通过《海牙协定》提交外观设计国际申请353件。
Thirty-one thousand patent reexamination cases were closed and 5,000 cases of invalidation were closed.专利复审结案3.1万件，无效宣告结案0.5万件。
As of the end of June, the number of valid invention patents in China was 3.906 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 17.5%.截至6月底，中国发明专利有效量390.6万件，同比增长17.5%。
From January to June 2022, China registered 3.674 million trademarks, submitted 2,699 applications for international registration of trademarks through the Madrid System, accepted 81,000 reviews for trademark opposition and completed 217,000 trademark review cases.2022年1-6月，中国商标注册367.4万件，提交马德里商标国际注册申请2699件，受理商标异议审查8.1万件，完成各类商标评审案件审理21.7万件。
As of the end of June, China had 40.545 million valid registered trademarks, marking a year-on-year increase of 20.9%.截至6月底，中国有效注册商标4054.5万件，同比增长20.9%。
The three technical fields with the highest number of valid invention patents were: computer technology, accounting for 9.4%; measurement, accounting for 7.6%; and digital communication, accounting 6.8% of the total.有效发明专利数量位列前三位的技术领域分别是：计算机技术、测量和数字通信，分别占总量的9.4%、7.6%和6.8%。
